Person Centred Planning at Minimbah

Background

Minimbah was opened in 1983 by a group of parents who previously operated the Karonga Special School. They established a day program for school leavers and named this service Minimbah- “a place of learning”. Minimbah is an Incorporated Association conducted by an elected Board of Directors, a staff team of forty five and a small group of active volunteers. Minimbah is located in Marsfield and operates from purpose built facilities in extensive grounds adjacent to Dunbar Park. We have a fleet of specialty vehicles to enhance community access and social inclusion for all service users. Minimbah services are substantially funded by the NSW Department of Human Services, Ageing, Disability and Homecare. We comply with the NSW Disability Service Standards. Minimbah is open to visitors at any time by arrangement with the office.
