Disability Support Workers - Level 1 and Level 2 (Casual)

Minimbah is a NDIS registered not-for-profit day service provider for adults and children with complex intellectual disabilities.

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers committed to delivering high quality services in an empathetic, professional, friendly and supportive manner.

Your Role

In this interesting and satisfying role your main responsibilities include:

  • Providing person-centred support that enables each client to express choice and control in the types of supports and activities offered

  • Assisting clients with all aspects of their daily lives including personal care, meals, behaviour support, medications, transport and communications

  • Working independently and as a member of a small team to contribute to care plans by documenting behaviours and other client-focused information

Your Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the disability sector delivering person-centred services for people with complex intellectual disabilities or equivalent experience in another sector

  • Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills

  • Experience in supporting clients with challenging behaviours would be highly regarded

  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain a clearance). Staff who work with children will be required to have a current Working with Children Check

  • An appropriate visa that entitles you to work in NSW

  • A current First Aid Certificate and NSW Driver’s Licence is preferred but not essential
